My wife just got a new laptop; her old computer has Outlook on it and she's
been using that for email for a number of years. The new machine only has MS
Mail. We would like to transfer the .pst file to the new computer and use
that with MS Mail. So far I have found no way to import it to MS Mail. Help
!

thanks.

Your new machine has WINDOWS mail (MS Mail was something that came out with
Windows 3.1 AFAIK!)

You need to do the following:
On the OLD machine, import the mail and contacts into Outlook Express.

Then look here:

(Scroll down to the Windows mail section)

Hello Wayne Perrier,

Please follow the steps
outlook>file>import>messages>choose outlook and follow the wizard.

Before you import the outlook data you have to export the outlook data
from one computer to another.
support.microsoft.com ( type 287070 in search KB box).

let me know the status ( (e-mail address removed))

He was just replying to the most recent message in the thread. Fairly
common USENET practice.
