Need quick answer: I presume I'm okay to install XP above the 8GB boot code boundary???

Hi.

Partition Magic tells me that my C: goes from "0" to "7,075.5" Gb.

According to the information I have for windows XP, there is a boot code
boundary above which you cannot install XP. That boundary is 8GB.

I'm okay then to install a second copy of XP on the partition right after
C:, because the boot code boundary is about 7,075.5 Gb.

I read that:

"Having an LBA-compatible (Logical Block Addressing) MBR (Master Boot
Record) will make the boot code boundary null with Windows Me/2000/XP."

What does the above mean? That I can install XP above the 8Gb boundary if my
BIOS shows LBA. I'm sure (but I'll check it) that my BIOS does shows LBA.

Thanks a lot.

You're fine. Install and move on.
