Tester

Yes you need them if you want to re-install the Operating system or if
you have to use the manufacturers recovery CD. Don't make the mistake
to delete these files unless you want to spend another 100 bucks to get
a new CD.

What make is your computer? You could get a Cd for it at a small fee.

Acer Aspire One laptop. I got a virus report possibly misflagging these files
as Trojan.generic.ff-1.

Sorry to clutter, but it was refurb, so no CD came with it.
But I have an unopened backup CD from an XP Pro machine.
THe laptop is XP Home. Does the key have to match, so long as the
install is legit?
