I was given a floppy drive "A" disc with some info on it copied from
publisher I cannot open it! I do not have publisher but that should not
matter.....any suggestions... how I may open the disc to read it....has
resume info on it

Thanks

If it is a Publisher file and you do not have Publisher, then I doubt you
will be able to open it.

This, however, is a newsgroup for Microsoft Access (the database
application) not Publisher.

You didn't.

Microsoft Access(TM) is a database program, part of the Office Pro
suite. The newsgroup microsoft.public.access is a newsgroup for
general questions about programs being developed in Microsoft Access -
NOT for general questions about any program you might happen to have
installed on your PC.

You did receive an answer, on the newsgroup, pointing this out and
suggesting that you a) cannot open a Publisher file unless you have
Publisher and b) that you might want to scroll down the list of
newsgroups and find one that supports Publisher, such as
microsoft.public.publisher.

I'm replying by EMail because you might not realize that it's
traditional to come back to the newsgroup for answers; private EMail
support is usually reserved for paying customers. The people who
answer questions here are volunteers, not Microsoft employees (except
for a few MS employees volunteering their own time).

Please repost your question in a Publisher newsgroup. You should get a
good answer there.
