I have asked this question several different way, but I never get any
responses.

My drive mappings in Windows 2000 Pro always show disconnect. I can
Double-click and access the drives without any problems.

The system logs into and NT4 domain and the drive mappings are attaching to
both an NT4 and 2000 Server.

I have turned off the autodisconnect.

This problem came about after I added additional local drives.

I have this problem on 2 different networks. There are other Windows 2000
Pro system on these networks that don't have this problem. But they have
never had any drives installed.

The default timeout is 15 minutes. From a command prompt on the *server
side*
net config server /autodisconnect:-1
for no disconnect.

Setting this from the command line may turn off auto tuning for the server
service. So a better solution is to navigate to
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters

and set the Reg_DWord hex value of
"autodisconnect"=ffffffff

If "autodisconnect" doesn't exist, Add it.

Sorry Dave but that that already been done.
These drives are always disconnected.
Even if I delete the drive mapping and manually remap it.

You might try another user (or new user) to determine if the corruption is
profile or machine specific.

Sorry Dave, I went on vacation,

This morning I tried another user, but I still have the same problem with a
new user logged in. But I did find out that it's only the drive mappings to
one server. A few weeks ago I added another drive mapping through a login
script. This drive mapping to another windows 2000 server does show
discconnect.

Just to be sure; the regedit above needs to be done *server* side.

Dave,

I have about 30 other windows 2000 workstations that are working fine.
The Autodisconnect has been done on the server also
