Need help with TOC numbering

I am using Word 2003. I have a document set up in 2 sections. The first
section contains page numbers in lower case roman numerals "i". However,
when I insert the TOC, the page number is showing up in upper case roman
numeral "I". I can't figure out how to modify it to match the actual page
number format.

Any help would be appreciated.

Is the TOC style set to be All Caps? If so, you'll encounter this problem.

I don't know -- how to I check this, and how can I edit the style. I played
with it a little but it didn't work -- must be something I'm missing.
