Need help with pop ups adds

I installed Zone Alarm on my XP...I noticed on that you
can set ports up and allow whatever to come in...But is
there a way I can set where I can blocks ports that allow
these stupid "Window Messenger" popping up..those annoying
stupid pop up messages ?..If so, what ports are those that
I can set up on Zone Alarm?..will it conflict with
anything after I set up to block these certain ports?...
I read somewhere on the Knowledge Base that gave out
certain port that I can block..but now, I can't find it..

Activate your built in firewall, it cost 1 minute of your time. ZA (free
version) will not solve your internet vulnerability problem.

Control Panel/Internet Connections/right click what is in LAN or High Speed
...../Properties/Advanced/ click on checkbox: I want my computer protected
(Internet Connection Firewall)/in Settings leave all boxes unchecked if you
are not a server.

This advice has been given zillions of times in this group. Make your
homework before crying out for help!
