XP SP2 firewall

It seems to mee that the XP firewall (after installing SP2) leaves two
ports unprotected; namely port 139 which is closed but not shielded,
and port 445 which is left open. This observation is based on relevant
testing using Steve Gibson's "Shields Up!" which can be run from
www.grc.com

In contrast, Zone Alarm Pro shields both ports.

Can anyone explain whether this is intentional or rather a shortcoming
that needs to be corrected?

SP2's firewall has closed those ports on my test machines.

Do you have any idea why it behaves differently? I have not adjusted
it in any way to force it to open, close or shield any particular
port. Is there a way you can adjust it?

The observation is repeated every time I test it so it cannot occur by
chance.
