need help with hardware...

today i started up my computer and opened a song on the
windows media player. it said cannot play back the audio
stream: no audio hardware is available, or the hardware
is not responding. my speakers are plugged in to both the
comp. and into the outlet in the wall, so they have
power. i do have a sound card, and im always able to
play music and stuf on my comp. this has never happened
be4. does anyone have a solution?

Can you provide model or pc type that you have or even your
soundcard type ok, this info is very important and knowing this
info one will be much better to help you
