Need help with Fomat on Word 2003

I have a formatting problem in one of my letters but can't find it.
Everything I type on each line types over itself. It's not because my insert
is turned off and the letters are not being replaced as I type, My cursor
keeps going back over the same space and the whole sentence is in one space
as the cursor doesn't want to advance. When I hit enter, the same thing
happens on the next line. This is driving me crazy and is starting to
infiltrate my other letters in sections.
 
Problems such as this are usually caused by the Printer Driver. Check of
the latest one from your printer manufacturer's website.
