Need help with deleting registry entries

L

L.K.

I have a crazy problem.

I have been cleaning my computer and deleted a few programs. For some
reason two of them are still "referenced" in my Registry "Run" section,
eventhough I have successfully uninstalled them from my PC. I have tried
MANUALY deleting those two entries by using rededit and then right clicking
on the choice and choosing delete. They "seem" to delete, but when I
restart the system, they are again there.

The two entries are:

"C:\Program Files\Elaborate Bytes\CloneCD\ElbyCheck.exe" /L ElbyCDFL
C:\PROGRA~1\MYWEBS~1\bar\1.bin\mwsoemon.exe

Again, both of these programs are not even installed on the computer, and
the references directories don't exist. I am running Windows XP SP1, and
Norton AntiVirus 2004 / AdAware Pro sais that my system is clean.

How can I get rid of these?

mwsoemon.exe = "My Web Search" malware
----------------------
ElbyCheck.exe =
[From Elaborate Bytes who make CloneCD - monitors the installed filters of
CD-ROMs/DVD-ROMs. Note - under Win2K removing this from startup causes the CD drive in the
computer to not be recognized in the OS and after rechecking it prompts that the driver
has been corrupted and asks you to restart the computer to fix it.]
