Hi Programatix,
Where are these WAV files coming from? Have you tried ripping an audio CD
to WAV format and playing one of those? WMP 11 does support ripping to
WAV
so that would actually be a good test.
To set the format to Wav, click the lower half of the Rip tab (when you
hover you mouse over the Rip tab, you'll see a line in the lower third
with a
small downward pointing arrow) click that lower portion and select Format
from the menu that appears and select WAV from the flyout menu.
Next insert an audio CD that you haven't ripped. When the track list
appears in the Rip pane, click the Rip button if ripping doesn't
automatically start.
When at least one track is finished ripping, you can click the Stop Rip
button, then go find that track in your media library and try playing it.

Thanks!

Hi,
My Windows Media Player 11 cannot play WAV file. If I play it, it just
load
it up and sit there doing nothing. No error.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
