Need help to fix: (Most) Everythings is now in right-to-left mode

Greetings. Added a new language (Farsi) which is right-to-left.
Had done that many times in the past (at least a dozen times
on different XP computers).

But this time most everything starts in right-to-left mode. Even MS Picture
Manager displays images from right-to-left. That is, if I click on the
first image (in a sorted list), no "next" image is available; I can only
go "back" to see the next image.

Similarly, Word starts in right-to-left mode.

Of course all of this will work just fine as soon as I choose the
left-to-right mode but it is annoying to have to do this
every time.

How can I fix this? The language bar does not provide an option.
Does Office provide a "global" option to always start in a
left-to-right mode?

Many thanks in advance. Ideen

You write <Does Office provide a "global" option to always start
in a left-to-right mode?>. I suspect you mean "Windows", not
"Office". If so then this link might help:

If not then you should repost in an MS Office newsgroup.
