NEED HELP! Problem accessing web pages!

Ok here is the problem, when i click on the internet
explorer 6 for windows xp nothing comes up. say i type in
yahoo.com, the explorer, instead of going to the site,
tries to go through another site and find yahoo and page
cannot be displayed comes up. It tries to go through like
www.ignkeyword.com or something, i think it might be a
virus or something. any ideas to remedy this please email
me at (e-mail address removed) THANK YOU.
 
I'm having similar problems - can't access many sites -
including YAHOO, ORBITZ, GOOGLE among others.....
please let me know if you get a fix.
