Need help printing to Panasonic KX-P1180

I am trying to print to my Panasonic KX-P1180 printer
using Windows XP Home. I installed the printer via "add a
printer". When I try to print text (invoices from
Quickbooks) it prints only symbols (hearts, smiley faces
ect.). Is there a patch or a download to fix this?

This has all the symptoms of a font substitution problem.

Does QuickBooks install a font that it is set to use for reports? Its
behaviour suggests that it usually does and, in the absence of this font,
Windows is subsuming another with unfortunate results.

Check the CD for *.ttf files. Copy them to the default font directory.

Let us know.

I did not find .ttf files on the QuickBooks CD but
found .tt files. I copied them to the default font
directory, received a message that they already existed,
replaced them anyway. Printer is still printing lines of
symbols. What else can I try to fix this problem?
