Need Help please with email programmatically!!!!!

How can I send an email without bringing up outlook. I want to send an email
without the user knowing an email was sent.

I.E. a "silent" email.


Can this be done?

Nothwithstanding the fact that you SHOULDN'T, you could link to a SMTP
server on the network using CDO or something. A little googling should
help.

Check out this FAQ from Tony:

I use an SMTP server, like Chris suggested, and a small freeware app called
MailSend to send the message to the server. You could use IIS's SMTP server
if you have it running somewhere.
