Need help on IE6

Every time I try to open IE6 on my computer, it immediately (within 1 second)
has a window that pops up which says IE experienced a technical error and
shits down. It sends a report somewhere which refers me to microsoft support
page that says the error is of unknown source and doesn't suggest any fix.
THe problem is anyway the IE isn't open long enough to go to anywebite except
my homepage for 1 second. Does my IE have a bug in it and how can I fix it.
I don't have yahoo tool bar installed per someone else's post.

thanks.

Hi,
No you may infected with spywares/Malwares or virus, try to scan your
computer and be sure it is clean from these two.
Download the Lavasoft and scan for malware from here.
http://www.lavasoftusa.com
scan online for Viruses from any reputable vender like (but not limited to);
http://www.panadasoftware.com
http://www.avast.com
http://www.trendmicro.com
Then when all clean and still have the problem Uninstall and reinstall IE,
read the KB article from here;
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;q293907
HTH.
Please let us know.
Regards,
nass

if you want it to work NOW just disable the browser extensions in IE
uncheck (internet options > advanced > enable 3rd party browser extensions)
you should probalby run some of those scans to find the root of the problem

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. **Post

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this
isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, reputable and
independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA) computer repair shop.
