I am having problems with my yahoo and when I try to install it I still have
problems and yahoo said I needed to reinstall IE to fix the problem. I have
tried to reinstall it and it says It can't because I have a newer version. I
think it has the sp on it. Can I uninstall IE6 and then go to microsoft and
reinstall it? I have yahoo dsl and I would appreciate any info someone can
give me. I get error when I try to open some websites. The error I get is
appname ybrowser.exe- modname: mshtml.dll. yahoo help tells me that it is
the IE causing the problem. But it is hard when you can't hardly understand
what they are saying. Thanks

As an MVP in security, you are in a better position to tell Microsoft that
MSN 7 is an wide open channel for Trojans and Spyware to sneak through. I
only loaded the MSN 7 and nothing else, I observed many Trojans and Spyware
trying to sneak through. Basically speaking, XP SP2 and MSN 7 are a gigantic
security risk! When running Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 Servers on the same
machine, there are no scripting errors or opening blank pages. But MSN 7 is
still a security threat when running with those OS! One or two Trojans and
Spyware sneaked through, much less than XP though! I think Microsoft is back

This is certainly OT for this thread but mebbe that's some reasons why MSN
released MSN8 and then MSN9, Frank.

If you're referring to MSN *Messenger* v7.0, know that v7.0.0816 is the
latest and most secure version.
