I'm having pretty much the same problem. I followed the steps of the
wizard with my desktop and my tablet PC. My TPC is wireless and my desktop
is wired. After I did the wizard, nothing showed up under network places. I
tried to click on "view workgroup computers", but after a few minutes it said
that it was inaccessible. I followed a few of the steps that the windows
help recommended and when I tried to ping the TPC with my desktop, I got no
replies. I'm not an expert or anything but this doesn't make sense to me.
If both computers are hooked up to the same router and both are able to
access the internet, shouldn't they be able to ping each other? All I want
to do is share some files and our printer for school. Any help would be
appreciated.
