Need help installing Vigor 12P flatbed scanner

An older, cheaper but very reliable scanner while on a P2
with Windows 98. Now can't install on XP. CD does state
for Windows 3.1, 95 and NT.

Hopefully don't need to replace this item as well.

There is a driver here, the newest file on it is 1998.

It maybe time to get a new scanner, they aren't too expensive these days...
