Need Help: HP ScanJet 2200C

I am driving to install the drivers for an old HP scanner I have but I keep
getting this error message (see attachment).

I have tried removing the scanner from the Hardware list in the Device
Manager of Win XP and letting Windows re-recognize it but it won't install
properly?

Any advice?

You need to write the error message in your post.
Many, News Groups do not allow graphics. This NG is one of them.

The correct way to un-install scanner software is in Control Panel>Add
remove Programs or in the start menu remove or uninstall item for the
device.

Have you downloaded the driver for Windows XP?

Older drivers do not work in Windows XP.
