I DONT SEEM TO BE ABLE TO GET STARTED ON MY COMPUTER,CANT
FIND MICROSOFT WORD, NEW TO ALL OF THIS .AND TRYING TO
FOLLOW BOOK WONDOWS XP IN EASY STEPS, PLEASE HELP ME
BEFOR I GIVE UP . THANK YOU

Lorna, did your computer come with Word installed or with a CD for Word - if
not you may have to purchase it separately. It is not a part of Windows XP.

PS, Don't type in all caps as it is considered rude and shouting.

Don't give up, you'll get the hang of it all in no time.
 
If you have MS Word insalled it will be found under
start>programs
as a big blue W and also as an option when you r click on
your desktop and chose new .

All those copies of word MS sold cheap to international PC builders
years ago to be bundled with their PCS to help sell them is really
starting to pay off for them as now folks want and/or depend on having
it as all their old stuff is in a proprietary MS word processor setup.
