I have a 2000 Server partition with "C" and "D" drives,
my C drive is running out of space but I have lots of
space on the "D" drive is there any software other that
partition magic that would help me expand the "C" without
loosing my data, as far as I know Partiton Magic is not
compatible with Windows2000 Svr.
Thank you

Try Symantec's Ghost to image your C and d to another
network drive. Assuming C: and D: drives are on the same
physical disk, delete both partitions and resize them
according to your needs. You will need a Floppy that will
boot to your network. Boot to the network, run ghost to
bring the image back down to your C: Drive and D: Drives.
Ghost will resize to what ever size partition you give it
and format to NTFS for you.

That would be one way to do it. Ghost will provide you
with tools to create your network boot disk.

Good luck.

Volume Manager, from Powerquest, is the only solution, except a backup and
restore.

An option would be to move your page file to D:, in order to free up some
space.

Is there any underlying hardware RAID of any kind? The hardware might
support it.

If the disks are basic, then you should only have to backup the D: drive.
Then you can use our diskpart tool into the unallocated space where the D:
drive was, and create a D: drive out of whatever remaining space is left.
