Hi guys.

I was gonna ask if is it possible to do a Dual Boot under Vista that is
Windows XP being the second operating system?

If yes, what to install first? Vista or XP?

Many Thanks.

If you are starting fresh it is always desirable to install the older
operating system first.

Don't forget what bootpart and the 'active' partition can do for you.

Hi jhong-

Be aware that once y ou have a dual boot, it's ***rarely necessary to
actually have to boot to XP so that dealing with the restore points becomes
a minimal problem written about a lot. You can make a shortcut to the XP
desktop and from that access your XP files and folders, etc. by simply
typing

XP Drive letter\Documents and Settings\Jhong's XP Profile\Desktop

If on XP you type

Vista Drive letter\Users\Jhong's Vista Profile\Deskktop.

You simply drag the small icon that then shows up in the address bar of the
particular file path and you have a shortcut to the XP desktop or any other
location on the Vista desktop, or you can drag that shortcut into a folder
you choose to make anywhere on your Vista boot.

You can reach other locations by typing the appropriate file path. You can
move or copy files and folders. You may have to take ownership of the file
or folder at times to do so.

Some time many months ago, on dual boot boxes, my Win Mail emails began
showing up in my OE XP in box as well. It's very easy to merge Outlook
accounts.

The information you provided guys really did help me in many ways.

I'll try to experiment further with this one.

Many Thanks.
