Does anyone know of a Dos based program that will identify the bios
and other information about hardware? I have SiSoft Sandra for
windows, but if I cant get windows installed, I cant get the bios
info. Kind of a catch 22....
I can easily boot to dos from a floppy.

Thanks

Can you boot from a CD?

Might be something on there you can use.

Take a look at the actual chip itself on the motherbaord and the
serial number will be on it. You can look up the code from somewhere on
the internet.

If it's a serial number, then every chip will be different. If it's a
version number, then it won't match the BIOS if it's been flashed.
