need date to show as 2005/10/05

I have tried to change the input mask and format for this but it goes back to
the format for short date. anny way i can get the date to show - year month -
day?

What format have you tried?

Format should fix the way it displays.

Where are you setting the Format property? Are you in fact setting it
to yyyy/mm/dd? Are you doing this in table datasheet, on a Form, or a
Report, or what?
