Need a Macro to

....format my charts, and change the colour of a data
series depending on what its called, ie change it to blue
if its called 'status 1', red if its 'Status 2', that
sort of thing.

I would suggest using Conditional Formatting to do this - a macro
simply isn't powerful enough to do so.

Open the Report in design view, select the control, and choose
Conditional Formatting from the Format menu option. (Note that this is
only available in A2002 and beyond - it can be done using some *quite*
complicated VBA code in earlier versions).
