Hi.
I'm looking for a "remote desktop"or "terminal application server" solution
that require the least bandwidth posibble for its client-server
connections,no matter how much process overhead it imposes on the hosting
server for its compression computations.only WAN bandwidth is an issue to me.
i've heard somethings about Citrtix, but on my surfing I found that it relies
on windows terminal server and it seems that windows terminal server
configured in application mode is too bandwidth consuming for me.
Can anyone help me?

Well, Citrix can use use both ICA and RDP.

Presentation Server offers the Independent Computing Architecture (ICA®)
protocol, a communication protocol by which servers and client devices
exchange data in a server environment to separate an application's logic
from its user interface. In addition to the ICA protocol, Presentation
Server also supports the Microsoft Terminal Services Remote Desktop
Protocol (RDP).

Best performance - Another benefit of Citrix technology is
high-performance access to full application functionality, even over Web
and wireless connections. In fact, thanks to Citrix's lower bandwidth
demands, performance is consistently as good as or better than running
software locally.
