Where can I get HotFix kb889320? I tried MS, but the process says I have to

There is no charge for a hotfix. Didn't you read the article?

"Note In special cases, charges that are ordinarily incurred for support
calls may be canceled if a Microsoft Support Professional determines that a
specific update will resolve your problem. The usual support costs will
apply to additional support questions and issues that do not qualify for the
specific update in question.".

As long as all you mention is that KB number and needing the hotfix, there
will be no charge.

I did read it. But I don't feel that I should have to give all the CC stuff
if it is FREE! It is a Hotfix, why can't it just be posted fro download?

Your link took me to a Hotfix that did not apply. I changed the ID at the end
of the link and it took me where I have been before - $59 support, supply CC
info, for a Hotfix that should be available without all the hassle. If you
have a different location where it can be obtained without providing the
extraneous information it would be appreciated.

Nonsense. My link does NOT take you to any hotfix. It takes you to a page
where you can begin the process to submit a request for *any* hotfix.

For example, the page takes me to...

....where I could enter 889320 in "KB Article No." box and request the
hotfix.

Tip: Select /anything/ in the "Product and Version Affected" box.
