Need a copy of Win 2000

I have a laptop (Compaq Armada M700) that I purchased from a reseller
last year. It comes with a restore disk but not a seperate copy of
Win 2000. Cert of Auth is attached to the back of the laptop.
Does anyone know where I can get a copy of Win 2000. I do not need
the COA since I have one. Any help would be appreciated.

The Armada series should include a "System Restore" CD and a separate
"Operating System" CD. The O/S CD is customized to work with the system
restore CD and can't be used by itself to install an O/S. The Restore CD
should be labelled something like "Operating System CD required" The
install key on the COA is an OEM key, and won't work with a "retail" or
generic O/S CD.

If you are missing one of the CDs, you can call 1-800-OK-COMPAQ and give
them your serial number to request another restore CD set. There may be
some small charge for this.
