NEC ND-6500A DVD+/- RW is causing Stop error 0xA

hi, is anyone else getting a Stop error with said DVD RW?
is it preventing you from going to Windows Safe Mode? Do
you know where I can get updated drivers or firmware
updates on that particular DVD RW?
 
The drivers are built into XP. As for the firmware, this drive must be
a regional drive targeted at Europe since I can't seem to find any
English support for this drive or any firmware updates (at least that I
can read).


You may want to try updating or reinstalling your chipset (motherboard)
drivers and see if that helps as well. Make sure everything is properly
set in the BIOS too.
