Hi!

I installed NAV 2004 on a WINDOWS 2000 SP4 machine
and I have the problem, that the automatic liveupdate doesnt work for
non-administrator-users.
also the manual liveupdate doesnt work, it displays an error that it cant
access specific files.

is there a solution to this problem ?
I dont want to give all users administrator rights...

any help with this would be greatly appreciated, thanx in advance!

best regards,

If the account that is logged on to the Win 2K O/S is not an Admin
account, then it's not going to happen. It's as simple as that.

Find the Live Update task in Scheduled Tasks in Control Panel.
It has a "Run as" control. Specify the update task to "run as" one of the
administrators and supply it with the correct password to do that.

thanx for your reply!

I already tried that but it didnt work either, there was still some kind of
access-problem
when I tried to execute the task.

any further suggestions ?

You can uninstall the thing and reninstall it and see if that works for
you.
