NAT

How do you forward ports traffic from a public interface
to your private interface?

You can port forward from an external interface to a different machine
on the private side using port forwarding in NAT. Forwarding from the
external interface to the internal interface doesn't really make any sense.
If a frame/packet has arrived at the machine, it has arrived! It makes no
difference which interface it came through.
