After installing the new crappy buggy software known as Napster 2.0 on
my Win2K machine, I get this BSOD error on Restart/Shutdown:

*** STOP: 0x0000009F (0x00000100, 0x81FFED10, 0x81FFED10, 0x82075D90)
DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE

I also find that my external FireWire hard drive no longer will retain
its drive letter setting. In Computer Management/Disk Management, the
drive appears, but will not accept a drive letter assignment.

Anyone know how to fix either of these issues?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I should have been more specific in my original post. I *did*
uninstall Napster 2.0, however, the problems persist.

Napster must make some modifications (like all other windows progs) to
the Registry. I'm hoping that someone with more Win2K knowledge might
be able to interpret the BSOD message and give me a clue where to look
to fix things.

Thanks.

Microsoft of course:

When you install programs such as this it also installs a sh*t load of
poorly written adware and spyware programs. The adware and spyware do not
uninstall with the software. You will have to hack it out of your system. Do
research on google to see what all it installed.
