Name display within OL contact screen ?

WinXP, OL2003

Suddenly we are having a problem with the way the names display within an
individual OL contacts screen.
On the screen where all of the contacts appear the names are showing
correctly in the Last name and First Name fields, however now some of those
same names when opened up are now showing First name/ Last name in the name
field.

Up until now they were all showing correctly when you opened up individual
contacts as Last, First.

I checked the Tools/Options/Contacts display and it is showing as Last First
as it always has been, but I am not sure if this is the option to
correct/change the display within individual contact screens or if that
option covers both areas(?)

At least, I have never noticed the problem before and we have been using
this OL2003 for over a year now(?)

Can anyone help? It will be greatly appreciated!

On the problem items, I would open them and click the Full Name button to see how Outlook is storing the name parts.
