Mystery file in windows, help needed

Have recently noticed files with a ".lei" extension showing up in
windows directory. Erase them(5 total) and re-boot, they come back.

The actual file name off the one coming back is "abxqi.lei"

Anyone know what is producing these?

Looks like it's a Leica file format.....

My initial reaction is spyware. What information can you glean from
right clicking the file and selecting Properties?

How did you discover their existence?

I cannot locate it as a known file extension. I found this:

Does this ring any bells?

It's strange to see a folder dispayed with a file extension. Leica is of
course a name well known for cameras.

In Windows, but quite common in Linux/Unix.....

Right click has just the usual, date created, accessed etc

two tabs.....general and summary

Kaspersky anti virus finds nothing wrong with the file (s)

Just because an anti-virus programme raises no objections does not mean
you do not have malware. However, I am not saying you have malware.
Gordon and I made some suggestions. Can you please respond to these?
