Mystery attachments

BlankCorresponding with my brother recently via Outlook Express he advises
that my last three messages sent over a period of 14/21 days have all been
accompanied by an attachment called ATT 00021 which he has been unable to
open.
I did not consciously send him these attachments with my emails and the
copies in my ‘sent’ box show no such items.
Is anyone able to through any light on what these attachments are?

That can happen if you have Outlook Express configured to send messages in HTML
format and your brother has OE configured to read messages in plain text.

In OE, click on the Tools menu and select Options from the menu. On your
computer click on the Send tab. Note whether HTML is checked under Mail Sending
Format. Have your brother open the Options dialog and click on the Read tab. He
probably has the box next to "Read all messages in plain text" checked.

That said, it's no big deal that the attachment is there. If your brother wants
to view your messages in HTML, tell him to hit the Alt + Shift + H keys at the
same time.

Good luck
