My XP can have internet access but cannot ping other Win ME.

My office has newly bought a Win XP.
However, it cannot ping itself or other Win ME provided
that it can browse internet.

Our network is using DHCP with all PCs connected to a
single broadband router (Unique IR8H)

I have searched the knowledge base and it may due to the
problem of router, however, I cannot find the support of
my router.

Will anyone have ideas ?

Failure of a computer to ping itself is probably caused by an
improperly configured firewall program (ZoneAlarm, Norton Internet
Security, etc) on that computer.

It works fine now after removing Norton Internet Security.
