I tried to start my PC but, it refused to start, it gives the message Missing
Display.SYS
Error in Config.Sys file on line
How Do I work around this problem
Thanks in Anticipation of your Fast Response

What version of windows is this? Windows XP should not use config.sys
for booting purposes.

have you intalled any new display software?

I use a windows XP Professional.I did not install any new software,it started
by the system complaining of low space on drive C,the system became quite
slow, it hung, then I reset, when it restarted, it said that NTLDR was
missing,it asked me to press ctrl Alt Del, when I do, it restarts then gets
to this same page, I read from this site about making a restore disket to
start the the PC, I made this ( it had a boot.ini filewhich I got the
commands from this site, NTLDR and NTDETECT files copied from the Win XP
CD).It was when I tried this that I got the message Display.SYS
Error in Config.Sys file on line 1.Besides, it does not recognize most
commands, for instance when I type in C:\ it says it's an invalid drive
specification, the only drive command it recognises is the drive A: command.
I equally tried the using the Restore function from the Win XP CD, but The
PC asks for the Log password, when I type in my password, it says the
password is not valid. This is the situation. How can I work round it ?
Thanks for your support so far
