Without being able to boot into Windows XP it is difficult to
determine what your problem may be.
Can you start Windows XP in Safe Mode? To start Windows XP in Safe
Mode turn on the computer and start tapping the F8 key just as soon as
the first information of any kind shows on the screen. Keep tapping
rapidly until the Windows XP Startup Menu appears and choose Safe Mode
from the menu.
When the computer is booted into Safe Mode open Control Panel - System
- Advanced and click on the Settings button in the Startup and
Recovery (bottom) section. In the Startup and Recovery window click
on the checkbox for "automatically restart" to clear it. Click on
Apply and OK as needed to exit.
Shut down and restart normally. The reboots should not happen this
time. However they may be replaced by a "Blue Screen Of Death" STOP
error message. If this happens then the contents of the STOP message,
including all of the parameters, will be a direct clue to the
underlying cause of your problems. Post that information back here if
you need additional advice or assistance.
Good luck
