My web page compresses when I open Favorites, etc. from the tool b

How can I keep my web pages from squeezing; for example, everything looks
fine but then I open my favorites column my web page condenses so that there
are no longer spaces and everything is right next to each other. Is there a
way, an add in perhaps, that will keep the page looking the same no matter
how small the screen becomes? Thanks for any help.
 
No really, you have design your page to adjust using table set to 100% or set up your page in a
fixed width table of 750 pixels
