my Web Connection gets to the login but wont display screen after that

I have set up the web connect over the internet between 2
xp machines, I can get to the login screen but when I
login it gives me a blank page like a picture file is
missing, I can view the source and there is a page trying
to be displayed but it wont.

Can you check and see if port 3389/TCP is open and pointing to the correct
PC?

Hi, I have the port set to 6502 and pointing at the
correct machine, I have changed the registry to reflect
tcp port 6502 it was using another remotecontrol program
that used 6502 so I left the router alone and changed the
tcp in the registry, the other remote worked ok on an old
app we had but when we upgraded I wanted to try web
desktop. It gets to the login screen, where it asks for
the screen size and the domain and the login, I have set
up a user1 on both machines with the same passwords. When
I login it just shows a square like the kind in a html
when the image is missing, I look at the source and the
source is a vbscript webpage.
