My system keeps shutting down, HELP!!!!!

My system keeps shutting down by itself and it states
remote procedure call and then has NT AUTHORITY/SYSTEM,
what is it and how do I stop it from shutting my computer
off!!!!! Appreciate any help! Thanks

Open XP's "Help and Support" and type: FIREWALL , and hit enter.
Click on the topic titled "Enable or Disable Internet Connection Firewall".

I am having the same problem with a system out of state.

They can't stay up long enough to get the MS patch. If
you can try this patch I found on the MS web site under
downloads and XP patches. It appears it is a "new" known
problem. Hopefully it will help. THe path file name is
WindowsXP-KB823980-x86-ENU.exe. I was told it needed to
be installed in the "safe" mode. I have not installed the
patch yet as I am having trouble keeping the system up
long enough to download it. I hope this is helpful.
