Accounts that require authentication usually also use a port other than 25
for connection. This is done to avoid port 25 blocks that virtually every
ISP has and uses to hinder spammers and to allow you to send when not
physically connected to the ISP whose SMTP server you're using. Those
that don't use authentication will almost always require you to have a
physical connection to the network address space used by the SMTP server.
