My send button is now greyed out (used to work fine) why?

My email account used to work fine but yesterday when I logged in the send
button and in fact most buttons were greyed out. I can still receive mail
but cannot send any. i haven't changed my account settings so don't know why
i can suddenly no longer send mail

Hi,
I think its got something to do with your contacts folder.
To get past this problem try the following - it worked for me.
Click on "tools" "options"
Select the "other" tab
At the bottom un-click the "Enable the Person Names Smart Tag"
