my search engine is not working...

i've done my database..but it is not in the server (still in c:\..\..)..
can the search engine works without using the server?
if no,where should i get the frontpage extension from?is it a software?

In order to test w/a DB locally you need a server running ( w/ the FP SE)
- In Win XP only supported under IIS in Win XP Pro

If you can't install IIS on your local machine, you might want to get a free
or cheap "host" and publish the entire site into a sub web so you can test
it that way before you publish into the root of your domain.
