My Safe Folder

Hi all, i can no longer access my My Safe folder on my desk top on a toshiba
satellite lap top A100
using XP Pro,
if i goto properties it says (the properties for this system are not
available.)
i have tryed 1. Turn off Simple File Sharing: a. Click Start, and then
click My Computer.
b. On the Tools menu, click Folder Options, and then click the View tab.
c. Under Advanced Settings, click to clear the Use simple file sharing
(Recommended) check box, and then click OK.
still no go????
PLEASE HELP.......

If "Simple File Sharing" is disabled either set "Everyone-Full access" under the
Security and Sharing tabs.
Or
Add the username/password for the PC user you want to allow to the User Accounts on
the PC with the shared file/folder.
Add the user/privileges under the Security and Sharing tabs of the share.

Before doing any of the above, first check any software firewall installed to make
sure the PC you want to allow access to the share isn't being blocked/restricted, if
it is add the PC to the Trusted zone.

HI Brian.A Thanks but i am not sure what you mean? as i do not know anything about computers...
If possable can you PLEASE give me step by step instructions....
if i dubble click on MY SAFE, my mouse flashres for about 5-10 seconds, but
nothing
i can delete other famley users if i need to... 1 more thing all the desk
top icons have a shaddow under & around the words in my account.....
have tryed everything to get rid of them but can't, so i have created a new
account to fix that. I think it was around the same time i noticed that i
can't use my MY SAFE folder... Thanks Scott
