My rules still don't work!

I'm trying to filter some virus spam out of my IMAP e-mail using the Outlook
rules wizard. But the rules don't work consistently. I tell it to move all
mail with attachments to a folder, and then delete the message. It
won't--unless I use the Run Now feature. Then it works, but only sometimes.
This problem recurs with Outlook 2000 and Outlook XP.
I'm totally confused. Help!

Do you notice if the rules work when outlook's open a while but fail when
it's first opened? There is a known issue with rules not running when
outlook first opens. They should work correctly on later mail checks as long
as outlook is open.

IMAP accounts have some problems of their own - the messages need to be
downloaded for rules to work and you need to have the body downloaded on a
mail pass. You can't select an item to d/l the body.
