Hi!
My PC is w98 SE and my scanner CanoScan N670U. One day I got an error
message that an .exe file has been corrupted. MS Support gave a lengthy and
difficult instruction for repair, including renaming the file etc., too
complicated for me. I shut down, connect the scanner, follow instructions in
the Canon Booklet and end up with the message: Install the TWAIN drivers.
From then on I go in circles.
My PC shop has tried all and now wants to reformat which I would rather not.
Can anyone help?

Hi,
If you know the .exe for which program, try re-install that program once
again.
or
go to the "add remove program" in the "control Pannel" remove (uninstall)
the scanner, restart your computer and try to re-install the scanner program
(driver).

PS. This is only for Access.

If you connected the scanner prior to installing software/drivers this was
incorrect.
In add/remove dialoge uninstall *all* software pertaining to cannon scanner,
disconnect scanner. Reboot.
Then follow *exactly* the installation procedure in your cannon book.

BTW this is the newsgroup for ms Access the db application, you might get a
better response from a win98 newsgroup, or cannon newsgroup.
