Hi
My PC seems to have developed an extra mystery drive somehow
My system normally has C & D HDDs, 2 DVD writers (E & F) and an
external usb HDD on H.
Now I also seem to have a G drive and properties reports as
Type: CD Drive
File system: unknown
When I click on it I'm asked "please insert a disk in drive G"

Would anyone know why this is happening & how to fix please?

Running WINXP-SP2 Home

Have you tried removing it in device manager?

Have you installed any kind of virtual drive software? (eg. Daemon Tools,
Alcohol 120%)

Do you have a card reader, an external drive, camera or a printer with a card
reader? They all will show up as a drive. Check what's plugged into your usb
ports.

Hi Johnathon
There is nothing unusual showing up in device manager
Have you configured a virtual drive? Nero and others will do this as
mentioned in other responses.
